Exceptional Music Videos

In this task, I created a mood video on final cut to analyse different music videos and suggest which parts I could steal, and use that conventional idea in my music video as a way of making it more successful. 


In conclusion, in this task, I analysed different music videos to find good conventional ideas that I could perhaps use in the making of my own music video. From this task, I found many different conventional ideas that were successful in other music videos that I could use in my own, such as colour scheme, including choreography and camera angles. I also learnt how these effect the overall mood of the music video and whether it is therefore upbeat or not. Moving forward, this task will help me as I have found different conventions that have been successful music videos and I can begin to think about how I can alter these ideas to make them my own. In addition to this, I can also now begin to think of original ideas that haven't ben used in previous music videos.

    Instead of saying that they are "good bits to steal", perhaps a better phrase would be that you are influenced/think they are effective!

Evaluation Question 2 Here is my second evaluation task about how effective the combination of main product, the music video, and my ancillary products, the digipack and album advert, were together, and how clearly they linked. I will analyse this by looking at the conventions of my products to see where they clearly link, especially when it comes to colour schemes, font choices and the showing of my main protagonist. (you will need to pause each slide to read information) In conclusion, I believe that the conventions I have chosen to use that link my products together are very effective, as the products are clearly linked through their vibrant colour schemes, similar fonts and continuous display of the main protagonist. I will then create a second amended treatment based on the requirements of my target audience, helping me to display the narrative clearer using diverse variants of mise-en-scene. In this task, I have gained target audience feedback from people within my target audience to help me decisively and effectively create improvements for my treatment, helping me to use clearer and more effective varieties of mise-en-scene that help me to convey my narrative in a far more evocative and engaging way.
