Video Thumbnials (production update)

Image
Video Thumbnails In this task, I will provide the thumbnails to all the different videos I have filmed that could possibly be used in my music video. I did filming on 4 different occasions due to cast and costume difficulties. I also kept filming on different occasions so that I had more footage to choose from and use in the music video. I encountered different problems such as the fact Daisy, the video's man protagonist acting as Jorja Smith, got a tongue piercing after our first round of filming, meaning I had to re-film parts so that she didn't look different amongst videos. Again I had difficulties with filming due to weather and daylight. In addition to this, at one filming session, the camera broke meaning I couldn't do any filming so the filming session had to be re-scheduled.

Photo Thumbnails (production update)

Image
Photo Thumbnails In this task, I will display the thumbnails to the photos that I have taken that could be used or or in my digipack and album advert. This will show that I have taken a variety of shots with different backgrounds to show that my ideas provide diverse concepts and themes. These photos have been taken at different times and some have had to be re-taken or taken on different days due to daylight and weather difficulties. I have taken photos on 4 different occasions to add more to those that I have so that I have a larger variety of photos to choose from.

Indie Album Cover Research

Image
Indie Album Cover Research  (forgot to post this earlier) In this task, I will analyse different Indie genre digipack covers to gain inspiration for my own ideas. Analysing modern Indie covers will circulate ideas about my main image, colour scheme and fonts. In conclusion, I have analysed different Indie genre album covers to gain inspiration from ideas to create my own products. I now understand typical characteristics of an Indie album cover, stereotypes such as using shapes as a predominant feature on the cover to have a modernising effect as well as to engage the consumers attention. I have learn that the colour scheme differs depending on the positive/negative vibe of the album, contrasting whether it is bright and vibrant or uses monotoned colours. Moving forward, this task will help me think of ideas to use on my dig pack, as well as the fact that I can now begin think about whether i want to follow typical characteristics of an Indie cover, or alter i...

Casting and Costumes

Casting and Costumes In this task, I will provide an insight into the roles of the casting members in the music video, what they look like, why and who they are in the video. This is another production update to show my progress in the development of the creation of my music video.  This task shows my audience why characters are in the music video, who they play and their importance. This also helps audience understanding of characters and the role that they have to play. It also gives a brief description of who the main image on my ancillary tasks will be and why they will be on it.

Digipack Layout Plan

Image
Digipack Layout Plan In this task, I have provided my first update on my production process as I have drawn out my layout for my digipack, in detail so that I can begin to create my product on my photoshop. The colour scheme and font choices will be made after I have provided my target audience with samples to choose their favourite from. Some of the conventions included on my digipack are; 6 square panels so that it would fold correctly into a digipack big bold titles of the album name and artist name that stand out large images of the artist/main protagonist so that each panel of the digipack is clearly linked a message to the fans/stay connected page to enhance audience engagement space for the disk to be enclosed in the digipack reference of the record label for legal purposes track list and lyric inclusion for audience enticement This layout of my digipack will allow me to start creating my digipack on Photoshop, using ideas from my original layout as...

Target Audience Profiling

Target Audience Profiling (forgot to post this blog task earlier, sorry) In this task, I have created an information chart to analyse the primary, secondary and tertiary target audiences I should be aiming at for my music video and ancillary tasks. This task will help me think about the ideas I can include in my products according to the typical features expected by my target From this task, I have learnt of my primary, secondary and tertiary target audiences and therefore can begin to create ideas depending on what they're expectant of in my products. I can ask people specific to my target audience what they think of my original ideas, and which are best to include and which are not. Moving forward, I will use my target audience profiling such as a male and female mixed aim, to think of ideas using binary colours that would be seen on a male and a female cover.
